Welcome to Nnekkie. By downloading, accessing, or using this application, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

1. About Nnekkie

Nnekkie is a campus housing platform that connects students with verified lodge owners and agents near Nigerian university campuses. The platform allows students to discover, reserve, and complete move-in for student accommodation entirely through the app.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to use Nnekkie. By creating an account, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate, complete, and up to date.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You agree not to share your account with any other person. Nnekkie reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts found to be in violation of these terms.

4. Lodge Listings

Lodge listings on Nnekkie are provided by independent agents and lodge owners. Nnekkie does not own any of the listed properties. While we make reasonable efforts to verify listings, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of any listing.

5. Reservation and Payment

To reserve a lodge, students pay a 20% reservation fee of the total lodge price plus agent fee.
The reservation fee confirms your interest and temporarily holds the lodge in your name.
The remaining balance (lodge fee) is due upon move-in or as agreed with the agent.
An agent fee applies to all bookings and is paid separately before move-in is confirmed.
All payments are processed securely through Paystack.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation and refund requests are subject to our Refund Policy, available as a separate page in this app. Nnekkie's ability to issue refunds depends on the payment stage and the lodge owner's policy. Reservation fees are non-refundable unless the lodge is found to be materially misrepresented.

7. Agent and Lodge Owner Responsibilities

Agents and lodge owners agree to list only properties they are legally authorised to let. They must ensure that all information — including price, location, amenities, and availability — is accurate. Misrepresentation of a listing is grounds for immediate removal from the platform.

8. Prohibited Conduct

Users must not:

Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings
Use the platform to harass, threaten, or defraud other users
Attempt to circumvent the platform's payment system
Share, scrape, or commercially exploit any content from the platform

9. Limitation of Liability

Nnekkie is a marketplace platform and acts only as an intermediary between students and lodge owners. We are not liable for disputes between users, physical condition of properties, or any loss arising from the use of the platform beyond the amount paid through the app.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
