Welcome to Nnekkie.

Nnekkie helps students find trusted lodges near campus, reserve accommodation with confidence, and stay connected from search to move-in. By downloading, accessing, or using Nnekkie, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. About Nnekkie

Nnekkie is a student housing platform built for Nigerian university students.

Through Nnekkie, students can discover available lodges, view property details, reserve accommodation, make secure payments, and communicate with agents or lodge owners directly in the app.

2. Who Can Use Nnekkie

You must be at least 16 years old to use Nnekkie. When you create an account, you agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information.

3. Your Account

Your account helps keep your housing journey organized and secure. You are responsible for protecting your login details and for all activity that happens under your account.

Please do not share your account with anyone else. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these Terms or misuse the platform.

4. Lodge Listings

Lodges on Nnekkie are listed by independent agents and lodge owners. Nnekkie does not own, manage, or control the properties shown on the platform.

We work to make listings more reliable, but we cannot guarantee that every listing will always be accurate, complete, available, or exactly as described.

Before reserving a lodge, review the details carefully, check the images, compare the facilities, and communicate with the agent or lodge owner where necessary.

5. Reservations and Payments

Nnekkie helps make lodge reservations simpler and more structured.

  • To reserve a lodge, students may be required to pay a 20% reservation fee of the total lodge price plus applicable agent fee.
  • The reservation fee helps hold the lodge in your name for the reservation period.
  • The remaining lodge balance may be due on or before move-in, depending on the arrangement connected to the booking.
  • An agent fee may apply to bookings and must be completed before move-in is confirmed.
  • Payments are processed securely through Paystack or other trusted payment providers made available on Nnekkie.

By completing a reservation, you agree to the price, fees, payment schedule, and reservation details shown to you before payment.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

Plans can change. If you need to cancel a reservation or request a refund, your request will be handled according to our Refund Policy.

Refund eligibility may depend on the payment stage, reservation status, lodge availability, and the lodge owner’s policy.

Reservation fees are generally non-refundable unless the lodge is found to be materially misrepresented or unavailable after confirmation.

7. Agents and Lodge Owners

Agents and lodge owners are responsible for making sure their listings are honest, accurate, and up to date.

This includes property images, location, price, facilities, availability, reservation terms, and any other important information students need before booking.

Listings that are false, misleading, fraudulent, unavailable, or unsafe may be removed from Nnekkie without notice.

8. What You Should Not Do

To keep Nnekkie safe and useful for everyone, you agree not to:

  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Use Nnekkie to scam, harass, threaten, or abuse other users
  • Bypass Nnekkie’s payment or reservation process
  • Use another person’s account without permission
  • Copy, scrape, resell, or commercially exploit content from the platform without approval
  • Interfere with the security, performance, or normal operation of the app

9. Our Role

Nnekkie is a marketplace. We provide the technology that helps students, agents, and lodge owners connect, communicate, and manage reservations more easily.

We are not a landlord, property owner, real estate agent, or party to any separate agreement made outside the platform.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nnekkie is not responsible for disputes between users, off-platform payments, physical property conditions, personal arrangements, or losses that happen outside the app.

Where liability cannot be excluded, Nnekkie’s liability will be limited to the amount paid through the platform for the affected reservation.

11. Platform Updates

We are always improving Nnekkie. Features, services, policies, and platform availability may change over time as we continue building a better student housing experience.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make changes, continued use of Nnekkie means you accept the updated Terms.
